unable to connect to Wifi through NetGear EX6100 Extender even though they are linked to router
I have a wifi with dual band and an ATT Uverse router (Pace Model #5268AC). I gave each network a custom name based on frequency and therefore have Home2.4 and Home5. I have installed two extenders ...
Eventually had a guy from the GeekSquad come home. It turns out the AT&T router, which came with my UVerse service, cannot allocate a different IP address to each band, which creates continuous conflict for each extender. Only extended the 2.4 network and things are working fine now. The alternative may be to change the router to one that is compatible with AT&T service.
