Unable to connect to WN2000RPTv3

My broadband was down yesterday and since coming back up I cannot connect to my extender. My admin password 'password' doesn't seem to connect. I am not very technical so really struggling. It usually connects using WPS but it's not working despite trying 6 times. I have tried plugging the extender directly to the router also the extender to my laptop but I can't seem to get anywhere? Please help as even using the user manual I am gettng nowhere? I have not updated the firmware for a number of years but can't do that either.

    Hello Adelekd, 

     

    Hard reset the extender and join the NETGEAR_EXT wifi network.  After you connect to it, browse to www.mywifiext.net and follow the setup instructions.
