"Unable to download GUI language file from netgear server"

bought the EX6200 saturday night and am excited to use it. after setup the portal indicated there was a firmware update available. tried to update, and each time get the above error. what's the issue?

Also, i tried to manually download the file and send it to the device, but on the fw upload screen it says its sending to the device, gets to maybe 30-45% and then there's an error screen saying connection timeout. all i want is to update the firmware, which should not be this hard...

    Make sure to use IE or Firefox with manually uploading . IE10/11 should be in compatibility mode

    ok i'll try those. was using chrome. any idea why it won't update via the portal?

    negative. exact same problem and error with all 3 browsers, chrome, IE (9/10, compatibility mode) or firefox.

    also have the same error when i try to manually update the fw via file. it begins to upload to the 6200 and then theres a connection timeout error.

    getting really frustrated here.

    Just download and update it manually. Keep trying the Netgear website: it'll work eventually.
