universal wifi range extender in a rental house
I am renting a house for 2 months and the internet (CenturyLink) works most of the time, but if I try to play Netflix, it keeps cutting out. I have purchased a Universal wifi range extender, but have not installed it yet. Once installed, should the TV with Netflix (farthest from the router) and the laptop (between the router and the TV) both be used on the extended connection, or would it be better to use the extended connection for the TV and the regular connection for the laptop? If CenturyLink goes down, I know how to reboot the router. What would need to be done to the range extender? Also, when we leave, do we just unplug the range extender and it will disappear as a connection choice, or is there more to it?
I'm a gma, so hope my questions make sense. If you need more info, I will try to get it.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Does it keep cutting out because you are losing the Wi-Fi connection, or because the connection speed is not sufficient to support Netflix ?
If its the latter a Wi-Fi extender will not solve your problems.
If the Wi-Fi signal keeps cutting out a powerline based Wi-Fi extender could potentially provide a stronger Wi-Fi signal, but if you have purchased an extender that takes your current Wi-Fi signal and extends it you may still experience exactly the same problem.

Thanks for your reply. Netflix keeps cutting out because the signal by the TV is weak. However, very occasionally, the internet connection is completely lost and the router has to be reset. So it seems like the range extender will help with the Netflix problem. Is that correct? Also, should the internet connection be lost, after I have rebooted the router, what will I need to do to the range extender?
- clithesProdigyok a booster should help then
If you need to reboot the router the extender will simply just reconnect for you automatically
Hope this helps
