Using Netgear Trek N300 , Model PR2000 in a hotel
I used the N300 in a hotel with my IPad just after purchasing it. I connected to the Internet after some delay using instructions in "quick start". Could browse in safari with Netgear, but when I opened email with the iPad app, the connection switched back to the hotel wifi. My question is 1) can you retain Netgear connection in wifi using apps such as banking and email and 2) if not, do you have the Netgear firewall protection in the hotel even if the hotel wifi. To me it's useless if there is no connection with apps and no protection. Am I wrong?

Hello FrankfromAikec
Yes you should be able to stay connected to the PR2000 and use it as the wireless connection. You may want to look at this PDF on all the ways to set it up
