Using old ADSL router (DGND3700) as extender on NBN internet (WNDR3700v4)? Possible?

Hello,

I have NBN and use a Netgear router to have wifi in my house. I tried to extend my wifi network with my previous ADSL router (Netgear Dgnd3700), connected to NBN router with a ethernet cable.

It is not conclusive. I had it going on my ipad but on no other items. And since I can't get it going on my ipad either.

Would it be because the old router is not NBN enabled? Or could someone explain what setup I should be doing?

Thanks.

Caroline

    Hello Caro2452

You should be able to do this by logging into the GUI of the DGND3700 and then clicking on LAN settings and then uncheck Use Router as DHCP Server and make sure you have the ethernet cord plugged in to the WAN port on the DGND3700.
