WAC104 cannot get WPS light on
This is a brand new wireless access point. I cannot get the WPS light to stay lit.
Wha WAC104 is currently connected the router (Synology) with an ethernet cable. I have logged on to the WAC 104 with the admin account. The security options for 2.4 and 5 Gig are WPA2-PSK [AES]. The SSID matches that of the router. Channel is Auto, and the password has been enabled.
Press the WPS button on both the router (Synology) and the WAC 104. The Synology button itself blinks. The WPS indicator on the WAC104 blinks. After about two minute both are out.
On the Synology router the Security Level is: WPA2-Personal. That differs from the three security options on the WAP 104. Those options are:
WPA2-PSK [AES] (tried this)
WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] (tried this)
WPA/WPA2 Enterprise
The Synology is connects to two Iphones, a laptop, two printers, and the television
What should I do to get this device connected?

probably set it up using the guide and not wps.
Wps is for connecting extenders/devices to a router/access point.
Not connecting access points to a router.
There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
Its a great resource to start with.I was not able to get anything from the first reply. I have the manual. Logging in with the help of the manual does not work. Go to my router, discover the IP address, different from the manual, then log in to the WAC that way.
Remove the ethernet cable between the desktop and the router and connect it to the WAC and there is internet connectivity. The switch part of the WAC is functional Disconnect the ethernet cable from the WAC to the router and it should work via wireless. It does not.
I think I need to get the WPS light on. The SSID is correct, the password has been set. What can I do?

No it shouldn't.
You'd need to go through the wireless repeater setup from page 80 in the manual to set it up as a repeater. Did you do this?
If you set it up in access point mode, it needs to be hardwired in.
