Want to connect a R7300 as a "deadspot" extender to my R8500 Wifi network
I have an existing R8500 wifi network that is not reaching far enough to outside wifi cameras as My two WN3000RP extenders (that are hardwired to 2 cameras) are not connecting due to signal strength....

I would bring it in to configure it would be the easiest way to do it less running around. You can name them all the same SSID but you may run into the issues if you are moving around the devices will not switch to the strongest signal.

My problem is that I want to configure it as a totally wifi device without a hardline to the R8500
But allow it to connect on the fringes of its connectivity and retrans/rereceave the signal as a stronger loci.
Spent approx 5 hours on re-configure options to no effect. When I have it set in Bridge mode or access point mode it "creates" two wifi networks that have names that i do not see in any setup page nor will it allow access to them.
And there is apparently no connection back to the R8500 or even the internet. To take it off Bridge or Access Point mode i have to do a hard reset of the device. (is there a way to just turn off bridge or access point mode)
It would be simpler (and maybe the only option i have) if i hardware a 300-400 ft cable between the R8500 and the AC1900 and let them both use either the same wifi networks or seperate networks. that "should" allow me access from the R8500 to the remote cameras connected via the AC1900 either hardwired or wifi connected. correct ? If i do hardwire between the two should i connect via the aggregate ports ?
Also since both the 8500 and 1900 are set at the same base ip address 192.168.1.1 if i reset the 1900 to 192.168.1.200 its not accessable via software and again requires a hard reset or should i set the 1900 to something like 192.168.2.1 ?

I'm afraid you bought the wrong device. Netgear routers cannot be used as wireless extenders.

Bridge mode connects wired clients to a Wi-Fi network. It cannot support wireless clients, so it's not suitable for your needs.
Access Point mode requires a wired connection to the main router.

Correct. You should enable AP mode on the R7300. The R7300 doesn't have aggregated ports, so you must use a regular port. Use the R7300's WAN port to connect to a R8500 LAN port.

If you enable AP mode on the R7300, you will have the option of either having the R7300 use DHCP to acquire a dynamic IP address or you can manually assign it a static IP address. Whichever option you use, the IP address must be in the same subnet as the R8500. If your R8500's IP address is 192.168.1.1, then the R7300 will have a 192.168.1.X address, too.
