WAP - Need to run Wire from Comcast modem/router/AP to a wired WAP

So at work we use Cisco Waps that allow roaming laptops to connect tothem  depending on the best signal of the nearest WAP on the network.  I want to run cat5 to WAPs (with power packs /not w  PPoE) at home that will do the same.. I want it so that if I walking around the house with a laptop it will switch to whichever WAP is closest and or based on connection strength   What products should I get from NetGear

Head for the Netgear Insight manageable WAP/WAX Series -> Insight managed wireless - you can mix models, choose according to the bandwidth and technology (Wi-Fi 5/802.11ad and Wi-Fi 6/802.11ax).

Note: These APs are coming without a power supply, instead of investing in a number of power bricks, consider an Insight (remote) managed PoE switch -> Smart Managed Pro with optional Remote/Cloud Management

You are free to use individual device Web management or Insight cloud management.

An Access Point (as offered by the leading brands) is always a Wireless Access Point with at least one Ethernet (Gigabit, MultiGig) for the wired network connection handling the connection to the in-house network, to the router, to a PoE switch connecting to the network by copper or fiber again.

Some WAP have additional capabilities for example to link up wirelessly to another WAP. This is not the typical deployment for a WAP however.

Here an example of two Wireless Access Points - one wired (the WAP540), one connected by a wireless link (the WAC564) extending also to a local wired network/devices.
