WG602v4 "Unidentified Network" Problem
Hey, I've recently tried taking my server setup (in my closet) from a wired connection with a big ugly cord running through the hallway to my router to a fully wireless setup by trying to use an old WG602v4 i had lying around as a wireless bridge in client mode, connecting to my router's wireless signal. (connected to the comp through the ethernet port).
I've managed to get it setup properly in regards to the bridge (i think), but for some reason my computer fails to identify it properly ( the local area connection calls it an "Unidentified network" and tells me it has no internet connectivity.
Even when i restore factory settings and do a hard reset both of the computers i tested it with failed to identify the device, even though once the Ip range was set properly i could connect to the gui on the ap.
The server connects just fine to my other router using a cable, so i'm pretty sure it's not the network adapter....... but i guess i'm not that adept with networking, so i really don't know.
I would really love it if somebody could help me out with any hints or suggestions, i'm at a complete loss as to what to try.

- netwrksMasterSounds like Windows7 / Vista. If it is.. Go to Manage Wireless Networks" link.
Click on the wireless one you have there.. remove it, then re-add it. Make sure it is setup as home or private network. Windows7 can be fussy.. MAke sure you have the correct wireless setting - On the router, use a channel other than 1,6 or 11. If you can run 5GHZ, you should. With all this sais, your wireless may, or, may not run consistently well, in your closet..
For wireless security pick WPA2 - AES. .N wont work with anything but that security setting..
