WGR614v10 --> WNR2000RPTv2 --> Access Point??
Hi guys, I need some help with choosing an Access Point which will allow me to extend my wireless range (through LAN) using WPA-PSK2 security.
My current set-up is Broadband into the WGR614v10 which is extended (through wireless) using the WNR2000RPT range extender.
I have a spare LAN Cable running from my WNR2000RPT to the last part of my house (this area is not covered in my wireless range). I want to connect this LAN Cable to the WNR2000RPT on one end and extend the signal to an access point.
This way the WGR614v10 will provide internet to the WNR2000RPT through wireless, the WNR2000RPT will provide internet to the Access Point through LAN Cable and the Access Point will provide wireless internet in the last part of my house as well.
Which access point do you guys recommend that will allow me to secure my network using WPA-PSK2, browse the internet wirelessly through all three routers and will let me connect to any of the routers using different or same SSID's. I would like the option to keep them same or different.
Could I also purchase a new router to use as my main router and use the WGR614v10 as an access point in the last room?
Please let me know what you guys suggest. If you need any clarifications then please ask me. I will reply asap.

Thanks for the reply. I know both of these are not access points but I posted in this forum so that someone could recommend an access point for me based on the configuration I have mentioned above.
Can I connect a new WNR2000RPT to the existing one trough LAN and use the internet wirelessly on the new one? Because I need to place it outside the wireless range of the existing WNR2000RPT, hence need to connect with a LAN cable.
If not, which AP can I use to connect my existing RPT over LAN? - jmizoguchiVirtuoso
