Why can I no longer connect my devices to the 2EXT? it only connect them to 5EXT.

I have a EX 6100 extender. It is about 2-3 years old and only used at our summer location. It has booted up fine the last two years, connecting to our existing modem/router. When I plugged it in it worked fine again two days ago. We use 2EXT b/c it's stronger. The next morning I could not connect at all to 2EXT but my husband could with all his devices (MacBook Pro, iPad, Samsung Galaxy 7). I could only connect with 5EXT on my devices (MacBook Pro, iPad, iPhone 7). Very weird. After I posted to the discussion board, I noticed that the green light was one the extender that had been amber since the morning. Now it works fine. Very, very strange, but I'm happy it's acting like it should!
