Wifi Ex5000 setup
It appears that Netgear does not support this extender from what I see on their website. I have reset mine and tried everything to reestablish communication to it: i.e mywifiext, IP address etc. Using the IP address I got as far as the Netgear Genie and setup an account but after submitting the information the Genie did not bring up any additional screens to complete the setup. Researching further I found that Netgear no longer supports the genie. Contacting Netgear for help isn't going anywhere unless I buy a support contract. Anyone have any ideas to set it up? I can find it in my available network but clicking on it to complete setup does not happen because it has no internet signal. I'm trying to use it with an Xfinity wifi system
Thanks for the help - Found the WPS button on the router and got the extender connected.
Thanks again to you and the others who responded to me.

what are the led's on it doing?
When you reset, are you pushing and holding reset for up to 15 seconds while powered on?
During the reset just the power led is red - then flashes the turns green. Then I look in my laptop WiFi manager see netgear_ext. I select it then the device led lights green. I can't get an internet signal then when I switch to it.
so it needs to go through setup.
Here's a video of how to use the assistant.
