Update: did a factory reset today and seems to be working fine. Had to do a hard reboot after I set everything back up but no issues so far

Same issue from the day I bought the pos... upgraded firmware. factory reset multiple times.. still occurs...
Contacted netgear support.. so far worthless..
Chalking it up to a $100 lesson... will not buy netgear again

better reputation?- I would say maybe go with a new brand. After reset my has been working like when I first bought it.
- Hate to say it, sounds like you got a bad one. So far after reset mine is working just fine.
