WIFI extender

Our range extender works well after it is set up, but after a period of several hours, when we try to connect on both bands, 2.4.  And 5G, we get the message "no internet connection."  When we unplug the extender and plug it back in, it works fine.

We spent time with a service technician, who had us reinstall the extender, suggesting the initial installation was incomplete.   The problem still happens.  We tried another extender, different brand, before getting this one and it had the same problem.  Since we had great luck with an outdated Netgear extender in the past (fully stable signal and in the exact location of the new one), we opted for Netgear again.

Has anyone dealt with this situation before?  Any ideas of the cause or possible remedies?  I hate to unplug and replug daily, but for now that seems the only fix.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

What router is it connected to?

    Firmware on the extender?

Spectrum internet and a UBEE router.  Firmware is up-to-date Netgear.   We installed the extender just a few days ago.

details help more than generals. When asked about modem/router when you say spectrum/ubee its like a mechanic asking which car you have and saying chevy. It doesn't help the situation as there's many models and each have their own issues.
