Wifi extender

I am looking for a new wifi range extender to help with the zoom and Teams calls.  I live in a townhouse with concrete floors.  The router is in the basement so having trouble gettig a good signal on the other 2 floors.  Any suggestions?

Cement is one of the best blockers of wifi. Even an extender is going to struggle because it needs a decent signal to operate off.

Your best bet is to hardwire in an extender or router running in access point mode.

Does it by chance happen to be wired with ethernet?

    Or coax?

You could use a MoCa adapter (ethernet over coax) to hardwire in an extender or router (in ap mode).

Or you could try using powerline adapters

The router from the cable company is hard wired in the basement.  Are you suggesting mounting the extender to the router and connect via ethernet in the basement.  Do to it being concrete floors, I don't have a way to get ethernet out of the basement to the first floor.

I was just seeing if you happened to have ethernet ran throughout the home. Some do. There was even a period where homes used cat5/5e cable for the phone lines. They could be easily converted from phone jacks to rj45.

If not, you could always try coax moca adapters or powerline adapters.
