Wifi extenders can't connect to new Wifi router

I had to have my whole Verizon FiOS setup upgraded: new ONT, new cables run, new set top boxes and, most importantly, a new Wifi router, a Verizon CR1000B.

I have two Netgear AC1200 wifi range extender model EX6150v2s that I bought in 2020. I can't get them to connect to the new Wifi network.

Has anyone else had a problem similar to this? Is it possible the extenders are just too old and not compatible? If so, what make and model should I get? I really don't want to spent $199.99 on Verizon's extender.

the CR1000B uses verizons version of mesh. its called a self organizing network. It causes havok with extenders.

Try disabling this on the CR1000B and then use the installation assistant on the extender.

If you set it up using the push button WPS option, factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.

To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.

Here's a video of how to use the assistant.
