Wifi range booster ex6100 signal dropping

We have had the net gear range extender ex6100 for a few months. Initially it worked great and we were having no issues with streaming etc. The past month or so the signal seems to drop on both 2.4hrz and 5 hrz. We tried upgrading the firmware which fixed the problem for a few hours but now we are back to sketchy signals. Is there any suggestions on how to fix this issue.

    Have you tried to change the wireless channels on the router.
