WN2000RPT-100NAS intermittently drops the Wifi connection

My WN2000RPT-100NAS is paired with a R6250-100NAS.
The repeater will intermittently drop the signal. It is hard for me to determine if it is still beaming a Wifi signal at all or if it is beaming the Wifi signal with no internet connection.
The signal from the R6250 router is not having a problem.
My internet provider is Cox, should that make a difference.

Please confirm that both your WN2000RPT and your R6250 are updated to the latest firmwares.
You can also switch WiFi channels on your router if there is interference from neighboring networks:
