Have you tried entering the key chosen in the router, into the corresponding "Key" (Key 1, 2, 3, 4) field during the extender installation?

I have a WN2000RPTv2 here at home and have had it hooked up to a router using WEP in the past, it worked flawlessly. Don't know about the WEP passphrase though, I simply entered in the corresponding WEP key.
How was the support awful, btw? What did they say?
