Wn3000rp
I am thinking of using this netgear device to solve the following problem.
my existing router DG834G does not broadcast a strong signal, so I have 1 office which cannot recieve the signal.
The same office has a connected ethernet wall port which goes to a hub which is connected to the router.
Can I hard wire the WN3000rp within the office, to recieve and broadcast a broadband signal ?
sensible answers much appreciated.

Solution for taking a hard wired ethernet connection from wallport (within the office which cant get the main router signal) and making it wireless.
WNDAP350 possible ??? - jmizoguchiVirtuosotell the truth, ANY AP will work.
You need to look the 802.11B, G, N needs
some N AP unit may not work with legacy wireless G so you may need to experiment - BonJoviAspirantI just bought the Netgear WN3000RP, it says i'm connected but my internet browser (Chrome) says I have some DNS error.
I'm currently using AT&T Uverse... please help - Jack_Aspirant

You should get own and gateway IP info. If it is something like 192.168..... or 10......... then all is OK Then typeping 4.2.2.2
You should get 4 replies. That means your wireless is OK and Internet access is OK. Try rebooting your PC/laptop. - jmizoguchiVirtuosotry testing with IE browser. also reset the browser. not sure chrome can or not

Yes, I agree. Had nothing but bother trying to get to the setup 'start.htm' page until I switched away from Chrome (to Safar ion my McBook).
I have followed every step in the manual, have the Extender connected just fine to my 2.4Ghz via a WNDR4000. However, no devices will connect to the Extender (Apple Mac, iPad, Android Nexus One, Notion Ink Adam). All lights are green. I can get to the Extender via the network or Ethernet cable from a machine .... but nothing will connect at this stage. Yes, I use Access Control and all devices have their MAC addresses in both the router and the Extender. Frustrating to say the least. - drgadgetAspirant...and as for WPS ...that's a cruel joke. Whether kind use 'recommended ' OR PIN one of the Netgear devices can't last 4 minutes so it always ends in FAILURE. Sad!
- Jack_AspirantDisable first access control and see what happens.
- drgadgetAspirantSadly, this made no difference. I will keep disabling the router, then the WCL on the extender, then both. So far no change ....
