WN3000rpV.3

Hello,

My Netgear wifi extender had been working until a short while ago when my internet provider, Orange_ (I live in France)_changed the password for my modem which is Livebox2. Since then my wifi extension shows up but can't access the internet. How can I get it to work again? By the way I work under Win10 and Apple's 13.1.3. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Fastest way? hardwire into the extender or connect to it wirelessly. Once thats done, go back through the new extender setup. This will let you change wifi settings if they changed.

Worst case, hold the reset button on the extender for 7-10 seconds. this will set it back to factory and they you can install as if its a new device.

Here's the install guides, manual, and firmware

Thanks for your reply. I've been struggling ever since to implement the suggestions but the struggle continues. Here's the situation. I went to the factory reset method and then started over. After reinstalling the extender I then connected to my Livebox. The livebox came with its own password which is 26 digits. Recerntly Orange announced that they had changed the passwords so that only the first eight digits would be used. Nevertheless, after the factory reset and reinstallationof the extender, I can only connect to the extender with the full 26 digit password which is no longer the password to the Livebox. I can't find a way to get them in sync. Can you suggest anything?

      Thanks,  Norman Stein

I'd factory reset both devices and restart from stock.  the livebox2 isn't known for being a great device.  it might take both devices starting from factory to get it working right.

if you're extender is remembering ssid passwords, it wasn't set back to factory. You can go through the extenders menu to set back to factory. Some people have better results this way.
