Not sure how i did it, but when I was having a connection issue and refreshed the page I was browsing as a quick check, I was suddenly sent to http://mywifiext.net/ and something about setup and conf...

Hi suihankii,
Please confirm that when logging into mywifiext.net, that you are connected to only the Extender's WiFi network. (disconnect other ethernet/WiFi connections).
Also try clearing your browser cache/history or use another browser.
If this doesn't work, you can reset the WN3000RPv2 back to factory defaults and complete the setup again.

Once it is completed, verify that you are running the latest firmware v1.0.0.36
