WN3000RPv3 can't upgrade firmware : failed to upgrade
Hello All,
I put back to work an old WIFI EXTender WN3000RPv3 today.
It works like a breeze (well not very fast compared to my ORBI...) but when I want to update the firmware (my very first move when installed) : I can't.
If I ask the extender to fetch the last available firmware (it is presently in 1.0.1.24) it says : none available.
If I go to the web site and download it : upgrade fails when I feed to img file 1.0.2.80. It thinks for a dozen of secons, then error message. Same result with 1.0.2.78.
I don't feel very secure with such an old firmware on the waves around my home...!
Please any help ?
Thanks in advance,
Jluc
version 1.0.2.52 fixed a firmware upgrade bug.
try installing that version first.
also, make sure you're extracting the firmware. Many just "open" the file but dont' fully extract it.
