WNDR3400 v2 providing incorrect IP addresses via repeater
This setup is for my office, I have 3 WNDR3400v2's they are used nothing more than for Wireless, my main router or command station is in my server room and i have 2 repeaters on each side of the building... Our company is on a different IP scheme we run off of 10.0.1.x for all wireless. My problem is when some devices (normally windows machines) when they first connect to the wireless they get an ip of 192.168.1.x and its not until i release and renew that it finally gets its right ip address of 10.0.1.x. This is not acceptable and I need them to connect to the right IP on the first time? how do I make this happen what step am I missing?
I have the repeaters setup to not distribute dhcp as i set that in the lan settings of the gui..

- jmizoguchiVirtuosothen what is the other line goes to switch to drop panel?
assume that is going to wired devices that do not associated with any of 3400? - turtlerhyAspirantThat is correct... just goes to all the lan connections in the office has nothing to do with the 3400's

1. You have two IP on your network
10.0.0.x
10.0.1.x
2. ALL WNR3400 is in AP and connected to patch panel or to switches using Internet port out of 3400,
3. In AP mode , each 3400 should have DHCP disabled when used automatically.
4. Each WNDR3400 has device you assign in 10.0.1.x outside of your DHCP range that you pushing from assume Layer3 or main router you have that handle two DHCP for both 10.0.0.x and 10.0.1.x - turtlerhyAspirantyou know I think I have my main 3400 still assigning DHCP which would explain my dilemma... i will try turning off DHCP on that router distributing out to the other 2 i have in my office... do i need to set that one on AP mode as well?
- fordemMentorIf you are running it as an AP, then YES.
Now go back and look at post #2 - what is the first question I asked you? You could have resolved this problem almost two weeks ago.
