AC1000 router not working with HP printer

Hello,

I just upgraded my modem and router to Netgear. It took my half the day yestrday to get the wi-fi going so I could use internet on laptop, Kindle, and smart tv (would be nice if start-up guide for route was included, instead of online only). My printer won't work, though. I have a HP Envy 5640 printer. It worked just fine before the upgrade but now, nothing.

Any suggestions.

I am not tech savvy - hence the half a day figuring out the set-up after a LOT of derogatory words. My poor dog was stressed out thinking she had done something wrong.

"AC1000" is a speed, not a model number.  Look for "Model" on the
    product label.

"R6080" is a model number.  Firmware version?  Connected to what?

What did you have before?  Now?

    > [...] It took my half the day yestrday to get the wi-fi going [...]

What were you doing for all that time?  Setting the SSIDs and
passphrases on the R6080 to match those of your (unspecified) old router
should occupy a few minutes.  And then your old devices should just
    work.

Did you end up having to reconfigure your other (unspecified)
    wireless devices?

    > [...] My printer won't work, [...]

And did you _not_ reconfigure your printer?

"won't work" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say
what you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
    descriptions or interpretations.

If the printer is your only non-working gizmo, then I'd visit hp.com,
get the set-up instructions for your printer, and follow them.
