AC1200 WiFi Cable Modem Router not accepting default password after factory reset

Question

Hello,&nbsp;I'm trying to login and change the name and password on the wifi connection. I bought a AC1200 WiFi Cable Modem Router back in 2018 and kept the default network key until now.&nbsp;First, I created a Netgear account and I went to routerlogin.net and tried deleting the browser history. Then, I downloaded the Nighthawk app and entered the default password (which is password). The error was: "Login failed.Reenter the correct admin password for your NETGEAR router." I then downloaded the Netgear Genie app, thinking maybe the modem router isn't supported on the Nighthawk app, and had the same error. I then did a factory reset of the device and went through all of these steps again. None of the above has solved the problem.&nbsp;&nbsp;Any help would be greatly appreciated!
