Adding a 192.168.x.x device to my 10.100.x.x network

Good morning!

I want to add an Envisalink EVL4 device (192.168.1.135) to my network.  Under Advanced->Setup->LAN Setup->LAN TCP/IP Setup, I assigned my network as 10.100.10.x.  I plugged the EVL4 device into Port 2 on my router.  I am using my router as a DHCP server, therefore I reserved 10.100.10.120 for the EVL4.

What do I need to modify on my router so I can see the device?

Thank you!!

  • You post is a little confusing.  It doesn't make sense to add the Envisalink using IP address 192.168.1.135 to subnet 10.100.10.x/255.255.255.0.  The Envisalink should be using DHCP to pick up an address from the router.  If you are sure that you properly reserved 10.100.10.120, then that address should be picked up by the Envisalink.  You can confirm this by looking at the Attached Devices list on the router.
