Asking username and password after downloading new firmware
I am trying to download new firmare since I haven't done so in many years. It asks for my microsoft edge user name and password. I don't remember it, but did create a new password.
That doesn't work - Even with a new password microsoft edge won't accept it.
How can I get a new firmare download for my netgear router?

Do you mean that you are using Microsoft Edge and it asks for a password to get into the Netgear router?
If so, try the usual defaults (admin/password).
If that doesn't work, then you can reset the JWNR2000v3 to these default factory settings.

So is the firmware. You can download it and apply it locally.
