I am trying to register my HDD in the admin panel and I notice that they want me to have an account with readyhare. I created a readycloud account and when I put in my credentials in the admin panel,...

At this point, you may access your files remotely using FTP access.
ReadyCloud is supported with newer routers.
ReadySHARE Cloud on the other hand does not accept new users and it's already phased out.

When I log into my router, I have a Readyshare tab. In the section, I have three options:
Basic |
ReadySHARE Cloud (Allows you to access ReadySHARE Storage from anywhere) |
ReadySHARE Printer |
WHen I choose ReadySHARE Cloud, I am prompted with this:
The ReadySHARE Cloud feature gives you remote access over the Internet to a USB storage device that is connected to your router's USB port. How to Set Up ReadySHARE Cloud Step 1: You need a ReadySHARE Cloud account. If you do not have one, click here to get one. Step 2: On this page, enter your ReadySHARE Cloud user name and password to register your router and the USB device that is connected to it with your account. Step 3: Log back into http://readyshare.netgear.com/ with your account. You should see the USB device that is connected to your router. Step 4: The first time, you are asked to download a Windows client, which is used to make a secure connection from your PC to the router's USB device. Log into this client and you can access the USB device from anywhere. Note: Without this client, you can browse your USB device contents but you cannot open files or make changes to them
When I click on the URL: http://readyshare.netgear.com/ , it does not load for me (resolve).
I have a ReadyCloud account and at the bottom of the router page, I can enter my user name and password, but when I click on "register" it does nothing.
I just want to access my connected drive remotely. |

Bummer. I guess I will have to look into other solutions. Thank you for the information.
