I needed to reinstall my OpenVPN client (after BitDefender's VPN, which I don't use, updated and nuked my OpenVPN client presumably due to shared dependencies), and it took me a while to figure out that the latest versions linked on on the https://openvpn.net/community-downloads/ linked to in the router advanced settings GUI are no longer compatible with the R6400v2 AC1750 router. Something about TLS levels? I'm wondering if Netgear is going to send out a firmware update to restore compatibility to the most recent version of OpenVPN client (2.6.11)? Or at the very least the R6400v2 firmware should be changed to indicate in the VPN instruction not to use the most recent version. It concerns me that the VPN is not at the most recent level--I hope this is not a security issue...Using R6350 - AC1750 router with a Hard Disk Drive to run the Logitech Media Server
Can I connect the Netgear R6350 - AC1750 to my current modem/router with an ethernet cable and use it with a USB attached Hard Disk Drive loaded with the Logitech Media Server to provide server support for my Logitect Squeezebox? If yes, can someone tell me where to find detailed instructions on how to set it up?Issues with Netgear AC1600 out of the blue?
Lost service last night (ISP issue). Woke up this morning, ISP issue is good now, but router in apartment (separate from house, used as an extender) not working. When I cycle the power on it, the wireless light flashes (strobes) every second or so...never seen this before.routerlogin.net: Login window does not pop up - WNDR4300
Several of the Netgear help pages and video (https://youtu.be/nUOcjDy02ts?t=95) say this: Enter routerlogin.net or routerlogin.com into your web browser’s address bar. A login window displays. Well, I bring up the page using browser on laptop computer (192.168.68.108) connected to the same network as the Netgear WNDR4300 router (192.168.68.2), but no pop-up login window appears. In fact, I cannot see anywhere to login: : : Anyone know why the pop-up login window does not display? Thanks in advance!AC1900 signal degradation?
I have been using a nighthawk ac1900 for a few years. The first year + it had solid range (1000 feet). Now I'm lucky if my signal goes 20 feet. I have upgraded the firmware, i have reset my modem and router hundreds of times. I have 500mbps download (lucky to get 140mbps right beside the router on 5ghz). If I am 20 feet away I'm lucky to get 10mbps. Is this router just shot? Been debating putting dd-wrt on it. https://www.reddit.com/r/NETGEAR/comments/17qbvio/ac1900_signal_degradation/Nighthawk Tri-Band WiFi 7 Router, 19Gbps, 10 Gig Ports with NETGEAR Smart Parental Controls™

Please help
Hello Everyone, I currently have a Netgear r6400, which has served me well but seems to have tremendous issues with both of the windows 10 laptops in my household with the 5ghz band. When I'm using either windows 10 laptop(One is an Asus Zenbook, the other is a Dell XPS 13), my 5ghz wifi network seems to have a huge amount of problems. When I turn the laptop on, it just wont find the 5 ghz network, but will always see my 2.4 ghz network right away. When I check the network list, I see all the other 5 ghz networks that are located in my building but it can take sometimes 3 minutes before my routers 5ghz network will show up. Now when I do finally connect to it, It will periodically disconnect and cant find the network again. This happens on both of the laptops from completely different OEMS. The kicker is that every other device in my house (Apple Tv 4k, Amazon Echo, 2 Iphones, Chromecast, and an Ipad) never have a single issue holding the connection to my 5ghz wifi and it works flawlessly. I factory reset my router and it still seems to be an issue so I've run out of ideas. What doesn't make sense to me is that the 5ghz network plays so nicely with every other network connected device but the windows 10 laptops have such a hard time. I would chalk it up to windows 10 being buggy, but then it also makes no sense why my laptop can see every other 5ghz signal in my apartment building, yet it has issues with mine. I really appreciate if anyone has any insight into this, it has been driving me crazy for months and I cant seem to figure out an answer.R6400v2 seemingly limiting speeds for wired connections
I just upgraded my internet service to 500 Mbps. When I use a wired connection directly from the cable modem to my PC, I get ~550 Mbps on fast.com and on ookla speedtest. However, when I then plug the modem into my R6400v2 router and test speed again, I am only getting ~230 Mbps. Both tests were performed multiple times within about 5 minutes of one another with no other streaming or significant network activity. The only custom setting I have on the router is assigning a static IP to another device on my network. I have downloaded and installed the latest firmware. What else should I be checking in terms of my router config to achieve better speed when using my wired connection into my router? Thanks!Issue with Netgear nighthawk wifi
hey all recently purchased a Nighthawk wifi router and Im having connection issues with wireless devices. For some reason, anything that is wireless cannot hold a stable connection and automatically gets booted from the network. all devices that are trying to connect wirelessly either say "will reconnect when network quality improves" or "connected without internet". I've tried restarting the router several times and even tried forgetting it from the affected devices which didn't work. it doesn't matter how close or far you are from the wifi router. you could be right next to the router or on the 2nd floor and still have connectivity issues. from what I've noticed, when I turn off and on the wifi on my phone the connection is stable anywhere from five to ten minutes. wired connections work fine without any issue at all. any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
