Can't login to R6400 admin page from laptop, only from iPhone

I installed a new R6400 router but can't access the admin page from my laptop. I was able to access it from my iPhone, so I am able to get online to the internet.

 

I've talked to support 2 or 3 times and they always tell me the same thing - reset the router, type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, try routerlogin.net or routerlogin.com, ping the router, verify the IP address, etc. etc. I even tried just connecting to the router via Ethernet cable and still no go.

 

Can someone please tell me why this doesn't work? I've read so many articles and they all seem to say the same thing. I just want to be able to access the admin page from my laptop. Has anyone found a solution to this?

  • I just enabled Enhanced Protected Mode and it worked. Don't know if that's the best solution (saw where unchecking enable protected mode was an option too), but at least the admin site opened - finally!!!

    Hi @cacdrc,

     

    1. Have you tried using another browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome)?

    2. Have you tried temporarily disabling any security software on the laptop?

      Hi,

       

      Yes, I've tried disabling both my windows firewall & my anti-virus with no luck.

       

      i installed Google Chrome this evening to try it - still no go.
