CANT LOGIN TO WNDR4300 TO SET UP AS REPEATER
I trying to make use of this old router and set it up as a wifi repeater.
Since its a 2015 product its no surprise that logging into "routerlogin.net" with hope to log in with default "user" "password" entries doesn't work. It just takes me to the nether main page and gives generic guidance.
Downloading the nighthawk app didn't help. it just says its not a supported router and then asks me for user and password - inputting the factory defaults doesn't work
I got as far as plugging it into my main router (WAN to LAN via RJ-45) and it assigned me a router id of 10.0.0.1 so as to not conflict with my main router but trying to log into that just times out.
I am sure its operator error on my part - so I could use some help.
Once I am in I could use some help with settings so this router can serve as wifi repeater. I am hoping to add an old computer to my LAN that's too far away to run ethernet cable to via wifi.

Try disconnecting the router from the primary router.
Then factory reset it. Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.
then (with it still disconnected from primary router) try to access it-set it up.
What version of the wndr4300 do you have? some have the wds option removed.
You could use it as an access point.
- SwabbieTutorIts an N750. It has two buttons on the front one shape of a lock with waves radiation from it and the other a dot with waves radiating off it. I believe that he is a WPS button.
I factory reset the router as suggested. It’s connected to nothing. When I try loging into it as instructed by the back sticker (www.routerlogin.net) it just takes me to the a netgear website.
I have reset history on my browser too.and you disconnected the wndr4300 from your primary router?
It shouldn't take you to a website if its not online.
you can also try its default address 192.168.1.1
