CANT UPDATE
**bleep** wont update. tells me to use nighthawk app, i did. it said go to routerlogin.net, i did. NOTHING ZERO OPTIONS AND NO PHONE NUMBER????

Are you talking about updating the firmware on a C6300?
You can't.That is in the hands of the Internet service provider.
If your firmware is outdated, you cannot manually upgrade your cable modem’s or modem router’s firmware. You must contact your Internet service provider (ISP) to upgrade your firmware.
A recent bug in the Nighthawk app keeps telling people to update their cable modems. (There are various conversations about that around here.) Just ignore it and hope that Netgear squishes the bug in a future release.
Netgear has been told about the problem and promises to be working on it. At a guess, it won't get high priority. It is more a nuisance than a fatal flaw.
