Connected AC1200 to ATT fiber gateway, 300megs, cannot put out more that 70megs on 5g
Connected via ethernet R6120 to ATT fiber gateway, 300 megs, max output is 70 megs does anyone know solution to get 300 megs out of R6120???
If you are looking at the R6XXX range, pretty well anything apart from the R6120.
R6050, R6200, R6220 and so on.
Look for something that supports 1000BASE-T on the LAN and WAN.
As I said, now that internet speeds are often 100 Mbps or more, I am surprised that Netgear still sells stuff that is stuck at 100BASE-T.

Wired or wifi?
The R6120 has ethernet output that is stuck at 100 Mbps. That's just the theoretical "standard" so you probably won't reach that. Most new hardware has 1000 Mbps ethernet.
In other words, your router is too slow for your internet service.
It is surprising that Netgear still sells this stuff.

Thanks michaelkenward, what do you recommend then? I'll return this one.
Thanks again
