Difficulties with NAT settings on WNR2000v5 N300 WiFi Router
Hey guys, kinda new here. Anyways I bought a Netgear N300 Router and it worked great for the first year I owned it. Then out of know where my PS4 started having issues with connecting with other players or chat parties. I've read that it has to do with my NAT settings, which is currently stuck at type 2. When I login into my router to change it, both WAN setup and UPnP are grey in color and I am unable to open them. Is that the default settings for the N300? Is there any way I can change them or unblock them? Or is it better just to go out and buy a better router?

Those are private addresses. This is pretty common with WISPs. You'll need to call them and ask about the possibility of getting a static, public IP address. With this, you can use your WNR2000v5 as a router and enable UPnP. A less likely path is see if your WISP supports UPnP.

It sounds like your WNR2000v5 is in AP mode, not router mode. Does your ISP modem have a built in router?

My N300 is attached directly to my internet atenna (I have broadband internet). As for AP settings, it is in AP mode.
In AP mode, UPnP and WAN settings are not applicable. That's why they are greyed out.
It sounds like you have a WISP. Do you know if they are providing you with a public or a private IP address? If it's public, then you should operate your WNR2000v5 as a router. If it's private, then any port forwarding and/or UPnP settings would need to be handled by your ISP.
