DM11PSP Connectivity

OK we have Century Link  was slow but fine for 6 yearsat this location

This morning the lost Internet ability for about 10 hours

When we got it back our network was gone.

We still had a 2ndary network using a signal booster.

But our WiFi for Iphone, Ipad ,Roku. and Emphase are not linking up

We have partial wifi on the desktop that is hard wired to router.

Can't get a browser to open to access router log and reset the lost network

Could probably do access in desktop but think is is on primary but not sure.

Apple says it is Century Link, Century link after 2 hours with tech support

says is Netgear.  But  who knows. I just have 1/2 my computer functions, Can't get to apps in Apple, or reset network since it can't find my original.

Was thinking could open set up and resetup a primary and then would restore but I don't know.

I will answer questions but have no idea what to do next

  • Wow. OK I am 80 and you will have to bear with me.

    Century Link is Internet supplier

    Have Netgear Modem and router

I have accessed the routerset up and it has a network and password

but when I go to settings (Iphone and Ipad) it says Network not found and gives me the network -ext added which is what I set up the extender as.

Accepting that gives me partial Internet access. I get Gmail, a browser  etc. on my desktop which is cable to my router but even there there are applications that don't load. I cloud and printer are tw0

apple products are just not functioning on wifi

I have a laptop on wifi and it is also not functioning even on the 2nd _ext network

I went to setup Router and it shows the Network but the devices cannot find it. I did this on the desktop.

If the router is setup with a Network  why can't any device on settings find it ?

Why on the PC cabled to Router am I still ot fully connected.

Spent 2 hours with Century Link(Internet source) tech and got no where. were to call back and didn't

Apple says it is Netgear or Century Link problem and no help there .

    Hope this helps

What are they? Model numbers might be useful.

The DM11PSP is an aged (2008) ADSL  modem router. You also have another router?

You can feed these into the support pages and get the manuals and check the troubleshooting sections.

Feed in your router's model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

Check the section in the manual

      Troubleshoot With the LEDs.

Is that an extender as well as the  modem and router? If so, what is it? Make and model?

Does that mean that some things connect to the wifi another don't? Or does nothing work on the wifi? Are all the wifi LEDs showing as they should? (Sometimes people, and cats, can turn off the wifi accidentally, without realising that there is an on/off switch on the top.)

It can help to tell the wifi clients (the apple stuff, for example) to forget that it has already connected to your wifi. (There'll be a setting to do that somewhere on the wifi client.) Then connect to it as if it was the first time.

This bit isn't clear to me.

What "network" is this? Wired? Wifi? Where do you see it?
