Downloaded firmware 1.02.90 and lost wifi to cell phones

My router box has 2 green lights on the left hand side and the #4 light is amber.  I must admit I interrupted the download of the firmware.  Now my computer says the connect is unprotected and my phones won't connect to wi-fi.    I have rebooted everything.  Windows 7

    Which one is #4?

    Not a wise move. You may have "bricked" the thing.

    There is a manual for the device somewhere at the end of this link:

    >>> WNDR4300 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<

    See page 123, Troubleshoot with the LEDs.

    If you can get into the device's browser interface, then you can check the firmware to see if it worked.

      Righto!  I am an idiot.  But I am used to it.  After much research and much cussing and slamming the boxes on the deck, it is now back to its normal.  Thank you for taking the time to answer.

        I should have added that these are perfectly acceptable tactics when trying to fix problems with these things. They often work better than reading manuals.
