Failed log in to www.routerlogin.net

I have to use "admin" and "password" to log in. After I'm on the site it shows the secure username and password that I changed to when I set the router up but if I log out they don't work. I have to use the generic onse that came with the router. On the wireless setup page it shows the log in info that I chose . I have selected "apply"and wait for the update bar to complete but it doesn't change the login info.
