Firmware for my Netgear is Saved, but I'm not able to Run it, now what?
I suddenly lost wi-fi. I can connect to my Netgear24, but I do not get Internet. My Modem has been checked out by my ISP and it's fine, but they do not see my Router in their sytem.
Obviously both my laptop and cell are fine, so I'm left with needing Firmware, or my ethernet cable suddenly doesn't work (which is not likely).
So, how do I get that Firmware working?
Thanks,
Tim

What modem do you have?
If you connect directly to the modem, does it work?
are you able to log into the R6400 through the browser?
Which version of the firmware are you on?
What are all the led lights on it doing? (color, blinking/solid)

Hi plemens. Thank you for the reply. I wish I could connect the ethernet cable directly to my laptop, but it is an ASUS Touchscreen Flip Notebook that does not have a port for that cable.
I know the modem is connected to the router. If the cable is disconnected fom either device, the 2nd light in from the left on the router turns off. The modem is an ARRis SurfBoard by the way.
To be honest, I think the recent Windows 10 Update has srewed things up And yes, I have restarted my laptop after the update like I usually do anymore with those damn things.
R6400-V1.0.1.62_1.0.41.zip is the Firmware I downloa
I'm afraid I do not know how to connect to R6400 via a browser. What arris is it? arris makes a whole line of surfboard devices.
Do you have any hardwired devices you can connect to it to check? If not, it might be worth buying a cheap usb---ethernet adapter.
