GS105v4 Connection drops

I have a my home network connected from the cable modem to eero 6 router and then out to an 8 port TL-SG108 gigabit switch. That switch feeds 5 rooms. One of the rooms needed another switch and the gs105v4 is what I have there due to 4 devices being located nearby. After an hour or so the gs105v4 will lose connection and all attached devices lose internet. The rest of the devices on the home network are fine at this time. On the front of the gs105v4, all lights remain on but steady showing no activity. Only after power cycling the switch does internet connection return. What is causing this?

I don't know.  I'd guess that the GS105v4 is bad, or something else
    on the LAN is.

Connect the GS105v4 port to a different port on that?

If I had enough convenient ports available on other switches, then
I'd try moving some devices around, to see if the trouble follows any
particular gizmo.  Given the price of a cheap-Chinese five-port
(gigabit/s) switch, I wouldn't invest much time trying to track this
problem down before I replaced the GS105v4.

If I had a suitable replacement power adapter for it, then I might
try that before running the complete-replacement experiment.

You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to General WiFi Routers (Non-Nighthawk). (This is easily done, given Netgear's complicated community structure.)

Many questions apply to different types of device, so there may be useful responses here, but the GS105|5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch is very different from a basic router, so you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

    Switches - NETGEAR Communities

    or

Smart / Plus / Click Switches - NETGEAR Communities

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
