Now I'm using openDNS and I add a blocked domains to blacklist. Router works with full speed. You should consider that config.

Thanks for that info TheEther.
I am just going to live with it as is. I am only blocking the domain that my iPhone uses to download iOS updates. It only downloads them when on charger and connected to wifi. If it doesn't download the update, it doesn't constantly nag me to install it.
I just set my filtering on a schedule so it is on when I charge my phone but off when I normally do my downloading.
When I get a new phone, or when Apple releases an iOS version that doesn't break my touch ID, I will be done with filtering anyway.

Cool! Thanks again.
My router isn't even involved in blocking the iOS update now. Just opened OpenDNS free account, added "appldnld.apple.com" to blocked domains then changed the DNS servers on my iPhone to the OpendDNS servers - done deal.
