How do I add my new wifi network onto R6230 router

I just switched ISPs and just set up the modem and can't add the new Wi-Fi information onto my existing Nighthawk app.

Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do?

  • What modem/gateway is the R6230 connected to?

It should be hardwired to that modem/gateway.

If the ISP's modem has wifi information, it isn't a modem. It is a modem/router. That can cause problems which is why plemans asked for more details.

If you are introducing a router to a new modem, you need to get the router to connect to the new ISP service by entering the login details for the new service.

    There are a few options.

You can reset the router and take it through the setup process.

You can then set the wifi details by following this:

If you don't want to wipe out all the settings on the router, such as the wifi SSID and password, you can use a web browser and the graphical user interface (GUI) and tell the router to run the Internet Setup Wizard.
