How do I set up my router to a new modem?

I changed my internet provider and I have a new modem. How can I setup my router to work with my modem?

Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it. I reset it buy it didn't work. My router is a Netgear R6100 and it was working with a Netgear ADSL + DM111PSP. My new provider is Eagle communications and their modem is ARRIS CM820. Do I have to configure it in a browser? And if so how can I know what the dotted decimal address for my router.
