Connecting to the network is not the issue. However if I’m working on the second floor of my home, I want to connect to the Extended signal, because it’s strongest. I’m trying to determine if that can be done automatically without having to change to the other network manually. Thanks.

Hi dwally,
Thank you for your response. Yes, that is possible if your extender has Mesh capability. What is the exact model of your extender?

- dwallyJan 12, 2021AspirantIt’s the EX5000. I’m guessing it’s not mesh capable, but really not sure.

Hi dwally,
You are correct. The Netgear EX5000 is not a Mesh extender therefore it uses the traditional extender method.
