How to set up lan-lan cascade with Netgear R6300v2

I'm unclear how to set up lan-lan cascade with Netgear R6300v2.  I have tried to leave internet as select automatically, and then changed the lan to be 192.168.0.2, while my main router, and therefore gateway is set to 192.168.0.1.  When I set this up, I can connect from computer to router, but not main router lan to Netgear R6300v2 lan.

I see this article on wireless ap mode, but I want both lan and wireless, i think.

      So, my steps are:

change the lan ip address as mentioned

      turn off dhcp server

      turn on wireless ap?

Do I need to have the same wireless broadcasts and/or passwords?

Is there any problem connnecting this to UDM as main router?

      Thank.

Turning on AP  mode, disables the dhcp server.

You can set them with the same ssid/password as the primary router but it won't be a seamless setup. Devices will tend to be sticky and stay connected to the wireless they initially connected to until it drops/becomes unusable.

I prefer to use different ssids in this instance.
