what actual dlink model is it?&nbsp;the extender should work with most routers until you get to the full mesh routers like orbi, tplinks M-series mesh, arris mesh, etc.&nbsp;They might still work as extenders but not as part of the mesh.&nbsp;

theoretically it should work. But I couldn't find a thing when I checked the specific router for adding extenders.

You might be better off checking with d-link to see if there any issues with aftermarket extenders
