Is there a way to make a readable copy of configuration settings?

I did a factory reset after firmware update to v1.0.4.120 due to DNS issues.  I became frustrated with trying to remember configuration setting so did a restore of the backup I had made before starting the firmware update.  The DNS issues continued so I downgraded the firmware v1.0.4.106.  I have just read that a restore can introduce compatibility issues after a firmware update/factory reset.  This seems absurd but I would like to be running the latest firmware so am willing to give the update/factory reset process another try.  My question is whether there is a way to capture configuration settings beforehand in such a way that I can reference them during re-configuration.  Hopefully something easier than a screenshot of each screen.

BTW, I see that v1.0.4.122 is out but the release notes don't mention the DNS issues some of us have experienced with the last two firmware so I'm hesitant to try it until I can figure out how to most easily reconfigure the router.

That's pretty well the best/only option unless you area codehead.

Netgear's release notes are a joke. While there are good reasons form not going into details of security fixes, not talking about bug squished is less than helpful.
