Issue with upgrading firmware on D6100

When upgrading firmware on this model, my 5ghz speeds get halved from 80 mbps to 40 mbps and 80 mbps is the speed i get from my isp, the moment i rolledback my firmware from newer ones to older ones it got fixed and i'm getting full speeds now.

there's an issue with speeds on newer firmwares on this model, plz netgear fix this !

After the upgrade, did you try factory resetting and then reinstalling the router? (not from backup)

Sometimes firmwares change enough old settings can cause issues. Its why we usually recommend a factory reset if theres issues after firmware changes.

Just did the factory reset and re-applied my settings and the same issue is happening, almost half speeds at 5Ghz and full speeds at 2.4Ghz.

i tried re-applying almost all firmwares on the router before this and it starts happening from version 1.0.0.50 to the last one which is 1.0.0.62.

the model is D6100 and i hope netgear fixes this and i found a 1 year old post with the same issue.

I've linked the post below and i hope netgear fixes this.
