Issues connecting

I changed my wifi name and now it's telling me my password is incorrect. I know for certain that I'm typing it correctly. I'm using a Netgear router model WNR2000v5.

  • try doing a hard reset again and re-do your wifi name and password again by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds with a paper clip.

Wifi password or password for the browser graphical user interface (GUI)?

By wifi name, do you mean the SSID?

Did you change the wifi password at the same time?

Just to add, the WNR2000 is a base model n300 (single band, slow wifi) device with only 10/100mbps ports.

If you're paying for half decent speeds or use it for more than basic internet, an upgrade would make a nice performance difference.

But if you're on slower dsl, then it'll be fine.
